2 arrested after long, bizarre high-speed California chase

Authorities have arrested a stolen-car suspect and his passenger after a three-hour chase across three Southern California counties that hit speeds topping 100 mph.

Monday‘s pursuit came to a bizarre end when the man abandoned the car and sprinted into a warehouse complex while the female passenger flagged down another car and jumped in the backseat. Moments later that car stopped again and the woman got out and surrendered.

Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt says the woman decided to give herself up because there was a baby in the second vehicle and she didn‘t want the child involved.

The chase extended through Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties.
