2 climbers rescued overnight from Boulder‘s First Flatiron

Two climbers were rescued overnight after they got stuck on Boulder‘s First Flatiron.

The Boulder County Sheriff‘s Communications Center received a 911 call at about 7:45 p.m. from two climbers stuck near the top of the First Flatiron. The caller said a climber was having a medical issue and they weren‘t dressed for the weather.

At 10 p.m. Thursday, Rocky Mountain Rescue volunteers were in with the climbers and worked on getting them ropes and equipment.

According to a news release, rescuers were able to get both climbers off the Flatirons by 11:15 p.m. and rescue personnel cleared the scene at 12:50 a.m. today.

No injuries were reported during the rescue.
