‘I am starting to feel like an honorary Aussie‘: The Voice Australia mentor Joe Jonas says he‘s come to love his laid-back Bondi Beach lifestyle after an extended stay in Sydney where he was joined by fiancée Sophie Turner

Joe Jonas has spent long stretches of time in Australia as a mentor on the local installment of The Voice.

And the 28-year-old says that after living at Sydney‘s Bondi Beach for months on end while the show has been in production, he now feels like a local.

‘I‘ve been based in Bondi and I‘m so lucky to be able to wake up and go down to the beach every day and try amazing brunches, you guys love your brunch,‘ The Voice mentor told .

‘The golf courses are fantastic and everyone is so laid-back and I am starting to feel like an honorary Aussie,‘ the DNCE band member said.

The Zoolander 2 actor also added: ‘There are so many great people here and the food‘s amazing.‘

Last week, Joe told‘s Kyle And Jackie ‘O‘ where some of his favourite haunts in Sydney were, listing hipster joints Frankie‘s Pizza and Grandma‘s Bar.

The former Jonas Brothers band member had his fiancée Sophie Turner by his side for the tail end of his stay in Sydney.

The engaged lovebirds were reunited earlier this month, with the Game Of Thrones actress surprising her fiancé ahead of The Voice Australia finale.

The celebrity couple were spotted at Sydney Airport with Joe‘s DNCE band mates ahead of their long-haul flight home.

Joe headed to the airport having finished his judging role on The Voice Australia, with his acts failing to secure a win.

Loop artist Sam Perry, mentored by Kelly Rowland, was declared the winner, awarded a recording contract with Universal Music and $100,000 prize money.

Joe‘s next adventure will be voicing The Kraken in  Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.
