Man shot, pushed out of car in West Sacramento, police say

A man is in the hospital in stable condition after being shot and pushed out of a car in West Sacramento on Monday, according to police Sgt. Roger Kinney.

Police responded at 12:30 p.m. to a call of shots fired at Fifth and B streets, and were told by the victim that he left a liquor store, got into a car, and was driven around the corner before the driver shot him and pushed him out of the vehicle, Kinney said.

The driver, an adult male driving a white sedan, fled the area, Kinney said. Police are reviewing security footage from the liquor store and attempting to determine the relationship between the driver and passenger.
