Property registration goes online in Ludhiana, administration issues helpline numbers

LUDHIANA: Punjab government on Friday launched (NGDRS) enabling online land registration facility at the all sub registrar offices of .
This is a big relief for the residents as they will now be able to take online appointment for the property registration by visiting government portalwww.igrpunjab.gov.in and without waiting in long ques the registration of their property will be done on the date and time generated via online application. The applicant will have to fill information regarding his property on the website to apply for registration, the rates of land fixed as per collector rates would be available online along with other information like stamp duty etc. The district administration has also issued a helpline line number – for additional information or any kind of help.

The new system was launched amidst full fanfare by the congress MLAs on Friday at different sub registrar office of the city. The facility was inaugurated by MLAs and in sub-registrar office (Ludhiana East) near . Meanwhile, a similar facility was launched in Ludhiana Central sub-registrar office by MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid. Speaking on the launch of the facility MLAs Dawar and Talwar said that Punjab government is committed to provide fair, transparent services to the people and to rout out the corruption from the government offices. They also added that as the new system has been rolled out, there will be no need to visit the officials repeatedly.
